Custom myetSIS Layout

Are you new to the eduTrac SIS online user's manual? If so, click here for a starting point. If you are looking for technical documentation, then check out the Wiki.

eduTrac SIS has a CSS Editor screen that allows an administrator to add their own custom CSS in order to make the self service portal look similar to the institution’s main website.

An Alternative is that you can create your own custom myetSIS layout as well as add your own custom CSS. A default layout is located at /app/views/_layouts/myetsis/. You can make a copy of the default layout and start editing it to fit your needs.

For example, let’s say you create a new layout file called eastbound.layout.php. In order for it to appear in the dropdown on the General Settings screen and be recognized by the system, you must include a header in your new layout which will also correlate with your layout’s file name and look similar to the header below.

Template Name: Custom myetSIS Layout
Template Slug: eastbound

Once the header is added to your layout, it should appear on the General Settings screen. Please note: The PHP code that appears in the beginning and at the end of the default layout is needed you create your own.
