Perfect! That was the problem – and the instructions were clear and concise! Super, thanks!

Navigate to Screens > Administrative > Manage Role or use the acronym MRLE in the search bar and click enter twice.
Once you are on the Manage Role screen, click the edit button for the Super Administrator role. The edit button can be found under the Edit column.
On the next screen, scroll all the way down to the bottom and you will see “Execute Saved Query”. Click the check box to the far right under the column Allow.
Once it is checked, click the Save button, and the user should now be able to execute saved queries.

Still doesn’t work.BTW, everywhere in the manual you reference a page or screen in the software you should always include how to find it. For example, you gave this link: https://www.edutracsis.com/kb/creating-customized-roles/
Which has this sentence: “To do so, navigate to the Manage Role (MRLE) screen, scroll to the bottom and click on New Role. ”
Which means the user spends time looking through all of the menus to find MRLE screen mentioned. INSTEAD IT SHOULD READ:
“To do so, navigate to the Screens/Administrative/(MRLE) Manage Role screen, scroll to the bottom and click on New Role.”
Otherwise your users get fatigued really quick trying to find things and many will give up long before they get the software set up.

- Where in the software do you check the permission level of a person
- Where in the software do you check the role that a person has been assigned
- Where in the software do you check that a role has the permission “execute saved query”
- Where in the software do you find the permission “execute saved query”?
Thanks.

You need to make sure that the person has the Permission or that the Role the person is assigned has the permission “Execute Saved Query”.

I saved the Applicants by Start Term SQL statement as a saved query (from the manual here: https://www.edutracsis.com/kb/applicants-start-term/). However, when I choose it from the list it will not run because of the error “Please fill out field” — apparently the field is required — see red *.
I would have assumed that once the user chose a saved query from the list the text of the query would automatically populate the text field below — so that the end user could make final adjustments if needed before running the query.
What am I missing? (see attached)
