Yes it looks like the booking module is the closest but what I need would be way more detailed. Right now we build our schedules manually with Google Calendars. Just so you get an idea, each 8 hour day is typically broken into eight, 1hour lessons. We manage 1 calendar per course.
I would guess it would make more sense for the etSIS side to house all the data so it could be a stand-alone system. Google, I would use as a view port essentially (assuming the etSIS interface was about as efficient for entering data). Considering that, one way sync. Best place in etSIS? You mean the menu structure? I think you would have a better take on that because I’m still exploring it, but this is most directly related to a course.
Do you think this is feasible? What sort of time resources and funding would this take?
No, but that sounds like a wonderful idea. However, there is a calendar that shows the student as well as staff when and where courses take place. That is part of the booking module (modules).
As part of the gradebook module, you can enter lessons and quizzes, but it’s very basic.
Your idea sounds like combining the two somehow?
I have a few questions:
- Would all that be placed on the Google side?
- Would all that be placed on the etSIS side?
- Would there be a two way sync.
- If there is a two way sync, should we be concerned with data integrity? Meaning that if etSIS is to pull the data from Google, does there need to be some check to make sure the course that is listed in Google, actually exists in etSIS.
- Where would be the best place in etSIS for this functionality to live?

Twitter | Facebook | DigitalOcean | tinyCampaignI have a question about academic scheduling. I basically want to know if it’s possible with any existing edutrac functionality or plugin to create/manage daily academic lessons.
What I’m after is something like this: Ideally a calendar view of the day/week and each lesson (of a specific course) is displayed with an associated time block, title, and teacher delivering the lesson. Such that a student could get an overview of the entire day/week to see what lessons are coming up, with what teachers, on what time & day.
In a perfect world I would want to sync these schedules with Google calendars.
